Post Thanksgiving, Abington, IN Ride
View Richmond to Abington, IN in a larger map
View Larger MapOn Sunday, 11/29, my brother and I went for a ride to help digest the second huge feast of the Thanksgiving Holiday. We rode from Richmond to Abbington to visit the grave of my great, great, great grandfather who fought in the Civil War. We started South on Niewoehner Rd. and we about lost the giblets on the first big hill. We continued on SR 227 past the airport to Boston. We turned West onto old SR 122 and Potter Shop Rd. and across the Whitewater River into Abbington. We visited the cemetery, paid our respects and headed back the same way. We turned North onto Straight Line Pike which was a fun roller coaster and into Richmond. A real nice and quick 25 mile ride on a beautiful day with a few good hills. Not bad for the last Sunday in November.
